The Mountain, Trail Maps and Lift Tickets

Myoko Kogen consists of 5 linked resorts. Myoko Snowsports is located in the Akakura Kanko / Onsen areas, which is where most accommodation is. This area is linked to the other three, Ikenotaira, Suginohara and Seki Onsen, by shuttle bus along the base of the mountain. There is an additional combined area across the valley called Madarou/Tangram, which can be accessed by taxi, or by private shuttle when participating in a Multi Resort Private Program.

Separate day passes for Ikenotaira, Suginohara, Madarao/Tangram and Seki Onsen are available at ticket offices at the base of the lifts in those resorts. If participating in any Myoko Snowsports Multi Resort Programs, it is recommended you do not pre-purchase all you days’ tickets in order to allow for flexibility in travelling to other resorts.

Note: Children participating in Myoko Snowsports group lessons must have either Big 4 or Akakura Kanko/Onsen Combined passes, as the lifts in both these areas are frequently ridden throughout lesson times.

For beginners and lower intermediates it is recommended getting a combined Akakura Kanko/Onsen lift ticket as this will give you access to the widest variety of suitable terrain.

For intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, purchasing the Big 4 Pass will give you access to the most variety of advanced terrain spread out over the resorts.

Lift tickets can be purchased at the Myoko Snowsports Office, or at any of the ticket boxes located next to the lifts along the bottom of the mountain. Please note that ticket boxes accept cash payments only. Credit card payments are available at Myoko Snowsports.

Discounted lift passes are available at Myoko Snowsports when purchasing them together with lesson or rental packages.

The Myoko Tourist Office's website also provides great info and can be contacted in English via email for travel assistance.
