Ease of access. The trains from Narita (Tokyo) airport to Myoko link up well. Total travel time to Myoko from Narita is around 3.5 hours, making it one of Japan's most accessible resorts.
Japanese Culture. While being one of Japan's most famous ski resorts, Myoko is not overly commercialized, and guests will enjoy a real Japanese experience. There is enough English signage to feel comfortable, but a lack of large numbers of international guests helps you feel immersed in the culture.
Amount of terrain to explore. With two interlinked resorts and another 5 accessible by a short shuttle-bus ride, Myoko Kogen has enough terrain to keep you happy for weeks.
Other local attractions include the Snow Monkey Onsen, Zenkoji Temple in Nagano city, and all the wondrous sights and sounds of Tokyo.
